Love Actively

You spend hours waiting for him to call. He doesn't. You wait for him to text you first. But he doesn't. You want him to hold your hand but it doesn't even cross his mind. You wish and wish to see him and you're dissapointed when he doesn't come.
You love him but nothing happens, and in the end you move along and get over him. And you look back on the weeks, the months, the years you spent loving him with nostalgy wondering why nothing ever happened.

Yet, it doesn't cross you're mind that maybe you should have made it happen.

YOU should have have called him, and you would have spoken for hours. YOU should have texted him, even if your text was only a small smile :). YOU should have made the backs of your hands touch, fleetingly, lightly, so that he would notice how close they were, how easy it would be to grab your hand. YOU should have talked with him and agreed to meet.

YOU should have done more. Because relationships need partners. Partners which should have enough initiative to do what they want.

And maybe, after you had started he would have continued, followed your example. He would have called, texted and held your hand. You would have seen him everyday and maybe in the future you would have been married, looking back at the time you spent together that led to your relationship; cherishing those moments which meant so much to both of you.

So be active. Take initiative. Take control. Do what you want, don't be afraid to wear the 'pants' in the relationship and love as if your life depended on it. Don't waste time waiting: ACT.
