I remember having my first drink. It tasted like cologne, and it smelled like coconut and coca-cola. A wierd combination, I know, but everyone was drinking so I ignored my picky taste buds and downed my drink, forcing the alcohol down my throat. That night I did some things I'm not rather fond of.
Most people my age had already been drinking for a few months, or a few years, and it was the first time I indulged. Let's just say that I not only indulged in drinking but that someone indulged in kissing me in front of many people.
Alcohol isn't tastey when you first try it, but everyone drinks and you end up forcing yourself, mentally, to like drinks. You have more "copas" (as they say in spanish) each time, and they keep on getting better. They keep tasting more and more appetizing and you end up having a better time than when you don't drink.
Or so you think. Or, better said, so you don't think. (Honestly, drinking when you're 15 or 16 is not smart so we must not be thinking.)
The moment you start to like alcohol, to like drinking is the moment you should start being careful- yes, drinks are good, you have fun while you drink; you lose your inhibitions and become wilder, funnier, sexier, easier to talk to. But you also become another person. And,
You can drink to have fun, to get over your shyness or just because every one else does it. You can do it to be 'cool', to have a story to tell come Monday morning. You could drink just because. I'm not going to tell you not to do this, you should make that choice yourself. I'm not saying 'don't drink!', that would be hypocritical of me, but you should be smart. Choose the right moment to drink, the right moment to party.
But, whatever you do, eat something before you drink, and NEVER EVER mix vodka, red-bull and candy. (Unless you want to go bat-shit crazy...)
