Reach for the stars, build a SpaceShip

Oh well, whatever, never mind.

You shouldn't let people's comments bring you down, you shouldn't let your mind tell you NO when you wonder whether something is possible. If you can dream it you can do it, so don't give up, persevere! EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Thankfully this is a lesson that I learned early on in life, my parents have been drilling it into my brain since I was a little child. I've always known that I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to.
I can remember entering contests when I was little, those where you had to draw the frog from the cereal box. I remember trying to do a cartwheel time and time again, perfecting the move on top of pilllows just in case I fell harder than usual. I remember the bruises and the bumps but I also remember the feeling of satisfaction after having done it correctly.
I remember writing stories and entering contests, trying to win. I remember drawing Christmas cards for the Spanish Embassy in the USA. I remeber painting canvases, sheets, cardboard, pasteboard, entering even more contests. I remember doing tests in which entire states and countries participated for a chance to win trips, money, camp experiences. And I remember winning all of these things.

I've been really lucky in my life, but I believe this is due to my parents, to how they educated me. They made me believe in myself, they made me try my hardest and know that my hardest is not always my best. They made my try hard, excell, and for this they will have my eternal gratitude. They pushed me but at the same time they nourished my with love, attention and care.

They reminded me that I can have dreams, I can try to reach the stars, the highest apple in the tree. It may be hard, I may have to build a spaceship or a ladder out of my effort, but in the end I will reach each and every goal that I pose.
